Read carefully the following information to apply for the 2026 Buchet International Cello Competition
[Early] Application Deadline & Fee : 1 July 2026 (23:59:59) - 50 euros
[Final] Application Deadline & Fee: 1 Aug 2026 (23:59:59) - 75 euros
Age limit: Aged 29 and under by the start date of the competition
Venue : Conservatoire royal de Mons (Rue de Nimy 7, 7000 Mons, Belgium)

REPERTOIRE :

🎥 Pre-selection (Video Round) - 20 minutes of video; repertoire must include at least 2 contrasting works/excerpts (each work/excerpt can be recorded separately).

🎻 FIRST (Live Round) - Propose a 20 minute program (excerpts of full works possible, but you must present full movements).
Program cannot include works/excerpts already presented in the Video Round.

🎻 FINAL (Live Round) - Propose a 40-45 minute program (excerpts of full works possible, but you must present full movements).
Program cannot include works/excerpts already presented in the Video and First Rounds.

- Please upload your videos to a streaming platform (e.g. YouTube) and send us your link(s).
- The jury may select up to 16 qualified candidates to compete in the live FIRST ROUND
- The accepted candidates will be announced in late-Aug 2026
